There has been a resumption of the monsoon season in some parts of India due to the low-pressure system prevailing in the Bay of Bengal area. There have been predictions made by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted increased rainfall in some states.
It has shifted further inland and is now affecting the weather pattern in central India. The shifting pattern will bring rains and storms in eastern, central, western, and southern India.

Bay of Bengal system to increase rain activity
The low-pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal and surrounding coastal areas is now moving towards central India. The system is now present in South Chhattisgarh and adjacent areas, according to the IMD, and it is likely to move further towards the northwest. Due to this, the rainfall is expected to intensify in many states.
There is a high possibility that rainfall will occur in some parts of Odisha and Chhattisgarh and also in some regions of Madhya Pradesh. Heavy rainfall is predicted to take place in the western part of Madhya Pradesh.
Also, there would be chances of receiving more rain in Maharashtra, especially in regions such as Vidarbha and Marathwada, which are expected to get heavy to very heavy rainfall along with other areas of Maharashtra.
Another region that will see an increased level of monsoon activity includes Gujarat. As per predictions by the India Meteorological Department, the period from September 12 to 14 will witness heavy to very heavy rains in Gujarat, while at isolated places there could be extremely heavy rainfall.
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana may also receive heavy rain.
Weather conditions will also have an effect on southern parts of India. Heavier rains are expected to occur in coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh and Yanam between the 12th and 13th of September. Heavier rains are also expected in Telangana. Isolated rains are also expected to occur in some places.
Thunderstorms, along with lightning and wind, may occur along with the rains in certain parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Residents of areas that have issued weather alerts have been told to exercise caution during thunderstorms.

Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi are also expected to receive rainfall later in the week. This could bring some relief from the warm and humid conditions that have continued across the region. However, residents should not expect continuous heavy rain throughout the day. Rainfall is likely to remain intermittent, with conditions changing depending on the movement of the weather system.
Heavy rain could affect daily life
The renewed monsoon activity may bring relief to areas that have experienced relatively dry conditions, but heavy rainfall can also create temporary problems.
Intense showers can lead to waterlogging in low-lying areas, traffic disruptions, and reduced visibility on roads. Urban areas may face drainage-related problems if heavy rain continues for several hours.
