A Kanyakumari gold theft case has attracted attention after a YouTuber’s house near Nagercoil was reportedly burgled soon after videos showing gold jewelry and cash were shared on social media. Police are examining whether the family’s online activity helped the burglars identify when the house was empty.

This occurred at Thamathukonam in Nagercoil of Kanyakumari district. It is the property of Vinoth Kumar, an entrepreneur, who resides there along with his wife Madhumitha, an influencer on YouTube and Instagram, and his child.

It is reported that the family left their home on Thursday evening for shopping purposes and came back at night. Upon entering the bedroom, they realized that the drawer was forced open and something valuable had gone missing from it.

Police found that the burglars had entered through the rear entrance. The lock was reportedly cut using a machine before the intruders entered the house and broke open the bureau.

The stolen valuables included around 120 sovereigns of gold ornaments, diamond jewelry, and ₹50,000 in cash, with the total value reported to be around ₹1 crore. The family subsequently informed Rajakkamangalam police, who began investigating the case.
